In February this year, I recorded music for my first solo release. This was made possible by winning the 2010 Freedman Jazz Fellowship.

12 musicians from both Sydney and Melbourne are featured on the recording:

Ben Hauptmann

Zoe Hauptmann
James Hauptmann
Gian Slater
Evan Mannell
Chris Hale
Damien Slingsby
Julian Banks
Arne Hanna
Aaron Flower
Lucian McGuiness
Dan Junor

The recording, which is half way to completion has become eligible for 100% tax deductible donations through Australian Business Arts Foundation.

I have an online profile with info about myself and the project. http://www.abaf.org.au/donors/artist-projects/ben-hauptmann.html

If you or any contacts/music lovers are interested in supporting me, these are the expenses I am looking at getting contributions towards through donations:

Mixing – Free Energy Device (Studio) 4 days mixing $3,080

Mastering – (Studio 301) 8 tracks $2,557.50

Printing/Pressing – Vinyl Factory 300×12” records w/ download cards/hosting, 1 colour white labels, poly lined inner sleeves and CMYK printed sleeves $3,350

Attached to this post is a short sample of some of the music recorded. It is at a ‘rough mix’ stage but you can hear the vibe of what was captured during the recording session.
